CLEANBIZ travels to Oslo
In the first days of May, representatives from Transparency International’s National Chapters in Portugal and Iceland met TI Norway for an Exchange Visit under the implementation of CLEANBIZ, an initiative funded by EEA Grants Portugal.
Gro Skaaren-Fystro (TI Norway), Karina Carvalho (TI Portugal) and Thor Fanndal (TI Iceland) continued to develop knowledge sharing and promoting the engagement of businesses, and especially Small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
The project goal is to strengthen the implementation and the enforcement of the OECD Anti-Bribery Convention by combining anti-corruption and human rights compliance and due diligence with awareness-raising and training directed to the business sector in the three countries.
During the visit, meetings were held with key Norwegian stakeholders, such as Yara, the world’s leading crop nutrition company, the Norwegian Agency for Development Cooperation (Norad), the UN Global Compact Norway and the Confederation of Norwegian Enterprise.
Earlier in March, Gro, Karina and Thor gathered in Reykjavic, where they had the chance to better learn about the challenges in implementing the OECD anti-bribery convention in this Scandinavian country, as well as to interact with many key stakeholders, such as ASI, the confederate of labour, FA, the Icelandic Federation of Trade and Journalists
Over the next weeks the team will secure the completion of CLEANBIZ Empowering Tools, ahead of the International Seminar happening in June. Stay tuned for updates by subscribing to the CLEANBIZ mailing list and visiting the CLEANBIZ webpage.
